Today I will:
God cares about honesty in the workplace; your business is His business. Proverbs 16:11 (MSG)
With the constant pressure on many of us to produce fast results, generate short-term profits, or find quick answers for our supervisors, it seems we are under constant pressure to cut corners to get ahead. Cutting little corners now, however, often leads to blatant cuts across the middle of the track later. Remember, Jesus told us that those who would be unfaithful in little would also be unfaithful in much. (See Luke 16:10.) Honesty and integrity start wherever you are today.
Our greatest tests of faith in God's ways often come when no one else is looking. The cookie jar is no temptation if Mom is standing in the room, but the moment she leaves, its appeal can seem overwhelming-even if reaching it means scaling to the top of the refrigerator. How we use our time at work, how thoroughly we research our reports, how we speak to and relate with our fellow employees and customers, and how diligently we apply ourselves to whatever task is before us are all reflections of how much we really believe-or don't believe-Gad's ways are better.
It is also good to know, though, that God is constantly there with us to make up the difference and help us out if doing things His way seems to put us behind. God will not fail to honor us if we honor and walk with Him
