Today I will:
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 (ESV)
When God created you, He was making an investment. He sent you into the world expecting a return. He gave you a measure of the same thing He gave to everyone else-from the richest to the poorest-the same 24 hours a day, 168 hours a week, 52 weeks a year. He gave each of us unique talents to make our way in the world, and over time He blessed us with certain treasures that we could use to reinvest in our families and others. He sent us into the world hoping and planning for our success, but also knowing we could fail abysmally. Certainly there was a risk involved in doing this; but in the world of investments, the greater the risk, the greater the potential return.
However, God is not a fool He hedged His investment in us by sending His Son to redeem us from failure if we should fall. He laid out a plan and purpose for our lives; then He provided wisdom, knowledge, and spiritual blessings for us to use to accomplish those plans. He has provided us with all we need pertaining to life and godliness. He then leaves His provision for us to either plug into or let it sit by the wayside while we try to struggle through on our own.
If we are truly trusting God and living with Him as our Lord, then fulfilling His divine plans and dreams for us should be our top priority; for only in Him will we ever be all that we can be. Take the time today to go to God and see how He wants you to handle that next project or spend that extra day off. The truth is that He already knows the best way for you to proceed-simply listen for His instructions.
