Greetings once again, Family [Mar 11, 2011] Did you ever attend a football or hockey game that was not noisy - no one cheering or booing or responding to the plays taking place? If your hearing is normal, that would not be the case. Professional sports just bring out the "loud" in people. My journal entry today relates to "loud". It did not take place on a football field or hockey rink, but the sound made was loud enough to be heard miles away. Let's listen in...
Greetings Family, I have been reading a book that has proven to be very thought-provoking and convicting. It is good to have your soul shaken up once in a while. The Bible tells us we need to examine ourselves - where are we on this spiritual journey? It is good to do a check in order to stay on track. One of the statements from the book: "If life is a river, then pursuing Christ requires swimming upstream. When we stop swimming, or actively following Him, we automatically begin to be swept downstream." It is ironic that several months ago, that very concept was on my heart when I wrote the following journal entry:
Greetings Family, As many of you are aware, one of our own of the family of New Hope Church, precious 6 week old baby Zoey moved from her earthly nursery to the one specially prepared by her Heavenly Father. It was not very long ago that I dedicated an entry to a faithful saint named Mary B. I can just picture dear Mary holding that precious child, with a smile of recognition on her face..Mary did not meet Zoey on earth, but she knows Zoey's family very well.
